Q&A with Kieran Hodgson

Currently touring his critically acclaimed show, '75, on the 70s' EEC Referendum, twice nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. You may know him as Gordon in the BBC's Two Doors Down, Ian Lavender in The Dad's Army Story or from the Alan Partridge show.

Beautifully composed, Belle Epoque-era, a star is born costume drama starring an excellent Keira Knightley as the French novelist who struggles to escape her writer husband's (Dominic West) control, to be an artist in her own right.

LOCAL FILM & HOLMFIRTH HISTORIES

SUNDAY 9 JUNE 12 noon TILL 6.00pm

A cornucopia of local, historic films, photographic exhibitions and talks. Events take place throughout the afternoon on a continuous roll.  Start out at any venue. Take the film trail around Holmfirth. Venue bars open for refreshments.

 

Dogman

In a run-down seaside town a dog groomer commits petty crimes for a former boxer who terrorises the neighbourhood. Winner of Best Actor at Cannes, Marcello Fonte is brilliant as the naive, small man who takes on the big bully in what is a really great modern western.
